TBHC Collaborate App

In her role as Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative, Dr. Brown learned a few things. First, there were over 10,000 non-profits in the Tampa Bay area focused on addressing the Social Determinants of Health. Second, government and for-profit organizations also seek to address these issues in order to improve health equity, but these issues still persisted. Much of the work was duplicated throughout the region, contributing to a less efficient use of time and dollars in addressing health equity. As a result she dreamed up TBHC Collaborate to provide the opportunity to leverage each other’s strengths and resources. The Collaborate App became TBHC in the palm of members’ hands, allowing people to collaborate with each other for a greater collaborative impact on health equity in our community!

The app won several awards including:

  • Guidewell’s Reshaping Health Access Innovation Regional Award
  • Synapse Innovation Award for Community Impact
  • Synapse Innovation Grand Prize Award for the state of Florida
  • Edison Award for Social Innovation and Data Connection
